All the Fish in the Sea

The last few months have seen a quick loss in mobility and independence for our man, Brent. He is doing his best to get used to being pushed and pulled on transfer mats and hung up in lifts to complete daily tasks. After some delays and complications with providers, we finally received an electric hoyer lift which helps safely lift him and saves my back from additional strain. As he’s hanging around one day, our fella busts out with a laugh and says:

“Now I know how all the fish at Sea World feel.”

We both got a good laugh and he often spends time making jokes while I move him around the house during transfers.

He has officially decided that he will be going as a pinata for Halloween.
